Winstone Aggregates operates a Graduate Programme, open to engineering graduates. Entry to the programme can be direct but is usually via our Summer Internship Programme.
Our new graduates are enrolled in appropriate professional development programmes (for example the IPENZ Professional Engineers Programme) and the Extractive Industry’s National Diploma) and typically begin their career at Winstone Aggregates at a site, under the guidance of the site manager. Once the basics of site operation are established, graduates then rotate through the business and, if appropriate spend time with our customers’ businesses.
Competency is developed on and off the job through training courses, mentors and through time and experience. As an employee of Fletcher Building, graduates may participate in other development opportunities like Outward Bound and via secondments to other business units.
