We are looking for practical ‘hands on’ people who are driven to learn, open to new ideas and continually look for ways to improve processes. You will be a self-starter who can work alone or in a team and has excellent problem solving/analytical and communication skills.

This newly created position for a recently graduated engineer provides a great opportunity to work under the direction of the Projects Engineer, to support the Engineering team in providing site planning, design and construction supervision for development work at the Winstone Aggregates sites.

On a daily basis you will provide support on the development of sites by ensuring projects are scoped and priced appropriately to meet financial targets of the end project, capital expenditure is within agreed format, and the quality of site development is appropriate for intended end uses.  You will also maintain awareness of key customer requirements, take a leadership role in ensuring that Consent conditions are complied with, stakeholders considered in the design planning and project implementation and with the Project Engineer oversee and coordinate “quarry and cleanfill civil works” to ensure development work in completed.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification, structural, civil and/or geotechnical experience with sound New Zealand knowledge.  You will need to be competent in project management with the ability to work with in a multi-disciplinary team.
