Jason received a special mention for his valient attempt to catch and relocate native mudfish from a quarry settlement pond at a time when their favourite bat, Marmite, was temporarily unavailable!
Congratulations are also in order for the team at Three Kings Quarry in Auckland who picked up the Bronze Award for their work to assist drivers in best practice as part of the controlled filling of the site.
The awards were presented at the recent Aggregate and Quarry Association of New Zealand’s annual conference in Dunedin.
