Whitehall Quarry

Waikato Quarry Aggregate

Starting life as a farm quarry in the 1940s but began operating beyond supplying the landowner of the farm in the 1950s.

It quickly expanded to supply Greywacke rock aggregates to resource the building of the nearby Karapiro hydroelectric dam on the Waikato River. The site was acquired by Firth in 1987 and Winstone took ownership of Whitehall quarry in 1998
Rock quarried at Whitehall is part of a regionally significant aggregate resource that is used throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, East Coast and South Auckland regions.
