Established in the 1920s, Winstone Aggregates took over the Belmont Quarry from Firth in 1988 and was later used as a location for Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones.
One of only a few quarries in the area capable of producing a wide range of aggregate products, Belmont Quarry provides high-grade aggregates essential for use in roading and construction throughout the wider region.
The site is a hard rock quarry supplying a number of Kapiti and Wellington concrete and asphalt plants. Belmont is a key to the supply of seal chip into the local market covering the Wellington and Kapiti Coast region.
