Flat Top Quarry

Auckland Quarry Aggregate

Winstone’s purchased Flat Top in 1975 from Highrock Quarries Ltd & Wainui Metal Transport Ltd.
Established in the 1940s and named after its original mountain top appearance, Flat Top Quarry is located in rural Kaukapakapa, north of Auckland.

The rock resource is a basaltic andesite of volcanic origin which likely erupted under the sea. Products from Flat Top are used mainly in road maintenance and construction and services North & West Auckland.
