Winstone took ownership of the Pukekawa Basalt quarry in 1971.
Located between the beautiful Waikato River and the South Auckland hills the quarry was established in the 1920s. It began producing sand from the banks of the Waikato River in 2013 and covers South Auckland, Coromandel and North Waikato.
